I didn't see any Custom Con posts, so I figured I'd get one going.
Click HERE] to check out the entries so far.
Curious to see what everyone thinks. Definitely so great entries, with the best yet to come...

i think "pocket heroes" are utterly disturbing. Who want's to see a Superman with child-birthin' hips?

Crap. So if I want to enter my Galactus, he'll have to be fully painted and his base assembled in the next two weeks?

Crap... I don't know if I have enough free time.

Unfortunately, the deadline to enter was about 5 weeks ago. Take your time and save it for the Spring Custom Con? That'll be here before you know it!

I'm not sure I have the "stick-tuitiveness" to do a full line of figures....

Drau... we'd just have to work together...
I could probably BUILD a line of figures in a weekend.
...it would just take two years for me to paint them.

Yeah! Group entries are always fun!
Seriously, though, I've found that single-figure entries don't get nearly the response that a group entry does.
The whole show is supposed to be a "mock Toy Fair", so a lot of people set up the presentations like a press junket. Unveiling their brand new latest products. THAT's the fun part.
If it helps, I've already been at work on a batch of figures for Spring 2006. Sometimes it takes ages to get the pieces together, but if you present a strong entry, you'll get insane amounts of response to it.
Definitely worth giving it a shot.
Hope this helps!

I don't know if Galactus counts as a single figure or not....

I mean there's Galactus, his ship Taa II, Surfer, and whatever other surprises I come up with.

Custom Con is always a mixed bag.
It's a good mix of amateurs and veterans, and as such, sometimes I'm left staring, mouth agape at a beautiful piece other times, well, I'm left scratching my head.
So far, Matt, I've really dug your James Bond figures (is that Roger Moore headsculpt by you?), and whoever's doin' those real clean-looking Minimates.
But I've got to hand it to everyone involved-- they've managed to meet the deadline and showcase their customs, which, up to now, I've always said I was gonna do, but never quite got around to actually doing it.
Looking forward to seeing new stuff over the next couple of weeks.
